Al Jones: Senior Pastor
A little something about us;
God is so gracious!
He has truly blessed us. The Lord placed us here in the fall of 2004. My family and I are grateful for the opportunity to minister for the Lord in this community. My wife Delphine and I are excited about the move the Lord has in store for this church, and the lives that will be affected by it.
We have two daughters: Brittany and her husband Lance reside in Hawarden, Iowa. Our first grandchild, Hazel, was born in January 2014.
Kayla and her husband Jarrid reside in Litchfield, Minnesota. They are expecting their first child in January 2016.
Delphine is a Missions major from North Central University. She has been used by God in drama, and has also been miraculously healed by the Lord. Once in a wheel chair, she now walks for the glory of God.
I am a Berean-trained minister who has seen how God can keep one secure in Him no matter what life brings. After the death of my first wife, God placed a special urgency upon me to complete my training, and received an ordination with the Assemblies of God. I am ministering in the very church I spent my whole life in, and God continues to bless my wife and me with a church family that truly cares for us and the ministry here in Cokato.
Isn’t God good?
Bruce Compton: Outreach Pastor
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I want to take a few minutes of your time to let you know something about myself. Some who know me may refer to me as a crazy old biker, but in reality I’m a husband to my beautiful wife Kim, a father of 4 – Sarah, Joshua, Isaac and Savannah and a grandfather of 3 – Lavinia, Addison and Jerusalem. My Lord set me free from drugs and alcohol in 1977 when He sent a man 6000 miles to preach His gospel to me. Since that time my Lord has had me on a journey that ministers to men that are dealing with many areas of addiction.
My hobbies focus around motorcycles and shooting sports. I currently serve as a chaplain in the Bond Slaves Motorcycle Club, which covers the motorcycle portion and the shooting sport side happens when there is time.
At this time I’m bi vocational, which I believe is where God has asked me to be. My occupation that pays the bills is in the print industry as a Color Management Expert and my full time ministry is functioning as the Outreach Pastor for New Life Assembly of God Cokato and chaplain for the Bond Slaves Motorcycle Club.
I have worked for the past 4 years within the Teen Challenge program as a mentor and doing chapel on a monthly basis. Also, I’m working with men in the process of aftercare once they have completed a program like Teen Challenge.
Steve Rahkola: Youth Pastor
I am Steve Rahkola, Youth Pastor at New Life Assembly of God. There are many things I am interested in. I really enjoy almost anything outdoors including: Hunting, Fishing, Camping, Photography, Film, Multi-Media, Disc Golf, Sports, Skiing/Snowboarding, Archery, Fitness (even though I am out of shape), and many more things that get my attention.
I REALLY enjoy spending time with my wonderful, beautiful wife Becca. We have been together since March 2014, and we tied the knot May 2016. We live right in Cokato, and both are involved in the worship team. Becca is a local Volleyball coach, and works with the school district as an Accountant.
I have originally went to school for Computer Networking, but am currently in school for Business Communications, and will continue my Education for a Masters in Divinity from Liberty University.
